Will this slow down my store?
No. We tested a real store with the app on and with it off, and the page speed scores were the same. The script is about 3 KB and loads only after your page is ready.
Will it block real customers?
Not on the free plan: it only adds a label and never blocks or slows anyone. Pro can hold orders and block a checkout, but only on hard proof of a bot, and it starts in shadow mode so you see what it would do first. People on a VPN, iCloud Private Relay, a privacy browser or a screen reader are never called a bot from one clue alone.
Why label instead of block?
Blocking is a one-way door. Get it wrong once and you lose a paying customer without ever knowing why. A label keeps the decision with you: hold the order, clean your email list, or just take a look. Pro adds holds and blocking, once you trust it.
Does it hurt my SEO?
No. Nothing changes on the page search engines read. Google and AI search bots see exactly the same store as before.
What if your server goes down?

What do you store about my customers?
We never store customer email addresses, and we delete IP addresses after 30 days. Full details are in our privacy policy.
For the curious: how does detection work?
Three kinds of evidence. The network: the TLS and TCP fingerprint of the connection and its round-trip time, since a proxy can add delay but never remove it. The browser: a fresh layout challenge every session that only a real browser engine can solve, plus the traces automation tools like Playwright, Puppeteer and stealth browsers leave behind. The input: real mouse, trackpad or touch versus synthetic events. A visitor is only called a bot on hard proof, or when two kinds agree.
